A peptide reconstitution calculator starts with two facts: the total peptide mass shown on the vial and the liquid volume that was actually added. Dividing vial milligrams by liquid milliliters gives concentration in mg/mL. For an arithmetic example, enter 10 mg as the vial amount and 2 mL as the reconstitution volume. The concentration is 5 mg/mL, which is the same as 5,000 mcg/mL. If the target field contains 250 mcg, dividing 250 mcg by 5,000 mcg/mL gives a draw volume of 0.05 mL. A U-100 scale has 100 marked units per milliliter, so 0.05 mL maps to 5 units.

A correct concentration formula cannot repair a target entered with the wrong mass unit, so an uncertain label or protocol should be verified before calculation.

Milligrams and micrograms measure mass, while milliliters and syringe markings measure volume. Concentration is the relationship that connects them. It does not treat peptide mass as insulin units, international units, or biological activity units.

For the displayed U-100 model, 100 units equal 1 mL and 1 unit equals 0.01 mL. Other scales are not interchangeable.
